Dr Charles Little
Senior Lecturer in Sports Business Management
Dr Charles Little is a Senior Lecturer and the Course Leader of the BA Sports Business Management programme at London Metropolitan University, and has over a decade’s experience teaching in Higher Education. He holds a BA (Honours) degree from the University of Otago in New Zealand and a PhD from the University of New South Wales in Australia. Prior to arriving at London Met he taught at the University of Otago and the University of Teesside. Dr Little is an active researcher and has published articles on a wide range of topics, including the relationships between international relations and the sports industry, the sports business in South East Asia, and the economics and governance of the Olympic movement. He also regularly delivers presentations at conferences in Europe, America, Asia, Africa and Oceania. As well as his teaching and research, he has also worked as a consultant for the Islamic Federation of Women’s Sport to develop best practice within the management of women’s sport in Iran.

Dr Phil Longhurst
Senior Lecturer
Dr Phil Longhurst is research active across the areas of waste and resource management. He is principal researcher on contracts with the Environment Agency, Waste Recycling Group, and co-investigator on EPSRC contracts on resource efficiency and recovering value from contaminated land. He has expertise in environmental impact reduction from odour management and control as well as a track record in delivering evidence for new energy from waste processes.

Prof Marjorie Lorch
Professor of Neurolinguistics
Marjorie Lorch’s main research interest is in understanding how language is organized in the brain through the investigation of neurogenic language and communication disorders, with a specific interest in cross-linguistic comparisons and bilingual speakers. In addition, she carries out theoretical work in neurolinguistics from a historical perspective focussing on the 19th century history of ideas about language and communication.
