Dr Geraint Harvey

I am currently a senior lecturer in Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations at Birmingham Business School, University of Birmingham (April 2013 to present). Prior to this post, I worked at the School of Business, Economics and Law at Swansea University. I have completed an ESRC Postdoctoral Fellowship at Cardiff Business School (Cardiff University), having completed my PhD, also funded by the ESRC, at Cardiff University. I have previously taught at the School of Economics, Finance and Management (Bristol University) and the School of Management (University of Wales Institute Cardiff). My study has focused predominantly on employment relations within the civil aviation industry and I have conducted research on behalf of the European Commission, International Labour Organisation, International Transport Workers Federation and the European Transport Workers Federation. I have published research in a range of academic and practitioner journals on this subject and written the book, "Management in the Airline Industry".

Jackie is Professor of Financial Management at Newastle Business School. Expertise lies in money laundering and financial market regulation. Jackie has been invited to speak at a number of very high profile academic and practitioner conferences in both the UK and Europe. She is on the Editorial Board for the European Cross-Border Crime Colloquium that brings together researchers from across Europe. Prior to becoming an academic, Jackie, whose PhD is in Taxation Policy, spent 10 years working for a major merchant bank, followed by a 3 year posting as fiscal policy adviser (under the auspices of the British Government) to the Ministry of Finance in Belize.

Prof Andrew Haynes
Professor of Law
Professor of Law, University of Wolverhampton; Visiting Professor of Law, University of Macau, People’s Republic of China; Senior Associate Research Fellow, Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, University of London. In the past I worked at two major law firms and also at Deloitte’s in London. My areas of interest and expertise are financial services and banking regulation in which I did my PhD, international banking and capital markets law and financial crime. I have been a major contributor to over twenty books. I recently published “The Law Relating to International Banking.” I am editor and co-author of “Financial Services Law Guide” and co-author of “Financial Services Authority Regulation and Risk Based Compliance”. Other relevant publications include being editor and primary author of a two volume encyclopaedia of financial services law, together with being co-author of Butterworths Financial Regulation Service (a seven volume encyclopaedia), a range of contributions to other major texts and a wide range of articles on banking and financial services law.
