Prof Yuksel Ekinci
Professor of Marketing
Yuksel is one of the UK’s leading scholars in service quality and customer satisfaction measurement. His research and consultancy work includes academic and applied marketing studies involving statistical analysis of the marketing data, measuring and modeling service quality, customer satisfaction, brand equity, users’ evaluation of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems. He is fully competent to design and support the execution of strategic and tactical market research and data analysis projects focusing on customer satisfaction and other aspects of business performance, from customer retention and value development (up-sell and cross-sell) to profitability. Consultancy Yuksel’s research applications cover a wide range of service sectors including retail, telecommunication, call centers, hospitality, tourism, retail banking and insurance. Academic background Yuksel is a Professor of Marketing at Oxford Brookes University, where he teaches Global Marketing and Research Methods. Before starting a career in academia, Yuksel worked for international service sector companies. He designed and delivered short courses on Research Methods in the UK and Overseas. He has authored more than 80 academic and applied research articles. His publications appeared in esteemed international marketing journals including the Journal of Business Research, European Journal of Marketing, Service Industries Journal, Journal of Marketing Management, International Journal of Human Resources Management, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, Journal of Travel Research and Annals of Tourism Research. Yuksel developed a customer satisfaction model for the service organizations.

Dr David Ellis
Managing Director
David Ellis is a Managing Director in FTI’s Economic and Financial Consulting practice, and is based in the London office. Prior to this, he was a Director with Navigant Consulting and an Associate Director with NERA Economic Consulting. Previously, he was a finance professor at Babson College and Texas A&M University. His institutional experience includes working at Salomon Brothers in Institutional Fixed Income Sales and Trading. In litigation David’s experience includes margin and mark-to-market disputes between hedge funds and their prime brokers; the evaluation, valuation and risk of CDOs, asset backed securities, guaranteed securities, complex cross-border transactions, collars, swaps, and other derivatives; securities lending; assessing the impact of illiquidity on securities prices; broker compliance, including suitability and diversification issues; insurance products; leases, cross-border financings and other complex financial instruments in tax court and in bankruptcy; and market structure issues in stock, bond and derivatives markets. His work has involved both liability and damage assessments. In disputes involving fixed-income securities and derivatives, Dr. Ellis has testified on issues involving the risk assessment, valuation and suitability, the deal structure, and hedging of deals. He has testified on numerous types of such securities, including CDOs, guaranteed securities (including the role of monolines), zero-premium collars, interest rate caps and floors, principal protected notes, “death spiral” convertibles, credit default swaps, variable prepaid forwards, and structured FX products. He has also testified on credit related issues and counterparty risk.

Dr Stephen Elstub
Senior Lecturer in Politics
Stephen’s research interests are on the cusp between democracy in theory and practice, particularly in relation to deliberative democracy and its institutionalisation. In particular, he has both conceptual and empirical research interests in multi-level governance, with particular emphasis on the role of civil society within these processes, and he has published broadly on these topics. His current and previous research has focused on civil society organisations and their contribution to deliberative and democratic processes in relation to an array of key decision-making institutions in the UK including: quangos, the European Union, and the voluntary and community sector.
